What is Trellis?

Trellis is a multi-tenant client operating system for agencies and growth teams: lead generation, CRM, client portal, invoicing, analytics, automations, user management, and white-label branding — so client work, billing, and access live in one system instead of five disconnected tools.

Built for agencies and internal growth teams that need branded client access plus ops (pipeline, billing, permissions) without stitching HubSpot, Notion, Stripe, and a custom portal together.

FAQ

Common questions

What is Trellis?

Trellis is a multi-tenant client operating system for growth teams and agencies. It includes lead generation, CRM, a client portal, invoicing with Stripe checkout, analytics, automations, user management, and white-label branding — so you run client work in one place instead of five disconnected SaaS tools.

Who is Trellis for?

Agencies and internal growth teams that need branded client access plus operational tools (pipeline, billing, permissions). If you currently share work over email and Drive, chase invoices in a separate system, and keep CRM elsewhere, Trellis is designed for that workflow.

How is Trellis different from a CRM?

CRM is one module. Trellis also includes a client portal for projects and documents, Stripe invoicing, automations, analytics, multi-space tenancy with role-based access, and white-label options (subdomain, hide branding, custom domains on Enterprise).

How does Trellis compare to HubSpot, monday.com, Notion, or Zapier?

Trellis is a multi-tenant client operating system (portal + delivery + invoicing + CRM), not a marketing suite, work OS, or glue layer alone. Honest head-to-head pages live under /compare — including vs HubSpot, vs monday.com, vs Notion + Stripe, vs Zapier/Make, and a three-way agency stack comparison.

What apps are included?

Lead Generation, CRM, Client Portal, Invoicing & Billing, User Management, Analytics, Automations, and Customization. Starter includes Client Portal, Invoicing, and User Management. Growth and Enterprise unlock the full suite; AI specialist agents are included on Enterprise.

Does Trellis support white-label?

Yes. Growth includes an organization subdomain and the option to hide Trellis branding. Enterprise adds verified custom domains and AI specialist agents. See Pricing for current entitlements.

How much does Trellis cost?

Starter is $49/month, Growth is $129/month, and Enterprise is $299/month when billed monthly. Annual billing effectively gives two months free. Exact feature lists and seat/space limits are on the Pricing page. New organizations start on Starter entitlements during private beta.

Is Trellis multi-tenant?

Yes. Organizations contain spaces (client workspaces). Roles and permissions — including system admin paths — scope who can see and change data. PostgreSQL Row Level Security enforces space and membership boundaries in the database.

How do clients access work?

Through the Client Portal module: external stakeholders get role-based access to projects, tasks, and documents without needing full internal seats. Agencies can brand the experience via subdomain or custom domain depending on plan.

Does Trellis have AI features?

Enterprise includes specialist AI agents for apps. Agents are designed for confirmed actions — not silent automation of privileged changes. Do not expect AI on Starter or Growth unless your contract says otherwise.

Is my data secure?

Trellis uses Supabase Auth (JWTs), cookie-backed sessions where available, and PostgreSQL Row Level Security for tenant isolation. Card data is handled by Stripe Checkout; Trellis stores payment metadata, not full card numbers. Trellis is in private beta and this is not a SOC 2 attestation — see the Security page for current controls and how to report issues.
